Chapter 3: A tender person below fiery tempary


*Dream sequence*

Tikal where floating in darkness...but without fear...she wear even feeling great, floating there. A light suddently appeared and she openned her eyes and looked at the light.

Tikal:*puts her hand up to her eyes to see clearier* Huh...? What is that...?

When the light faded away, she saw Chaos, God of Destruction. She was so surpirsed that she wasn't able to say anything for a moment.

Tikal: C-Chaos ?! How can you be there ?!
Chaos:*look at her* Tikal, you must go back home.
Tikal:*sad smile*...My home is here, now...
Chaos: No. Your home is where you left the tribe's second strongest warrior.
Tikal:...! Knuckles...*tears then came out slowly**she puted her hands on her mouth*...
Chaos:*makes a water mirror to appear* Look.

Tikal looked at the water mirror and she saw Knuckles...crying in front of the Master Emerald. She immediatly puted her hands on her heart.

Tikal: Ugh...! It hurts...*she looked away* Please...Take that mirror away...
Chaos:*do as her wish* You can't heard what he is saying, but I do. Do you want to know what he is saying ?
Tikal:*looked at Chaos*...Tell me...please...
Chaos:''...Tikal...Can you hear me...?''
Tikal: ! H-huh...?!
Chaos:''...Tikal...I need you...Now...I really do need you...Come back...Please...''
Tikal:*just stare devasted at Chaos*...!
Chaos:''...Tikal...!...I beg you...!...Please...Come back...to me...''

Tikal was devastated. Knuckles really did said those lines...?

Chaos: Princess Tikal, I can make his wish to come true.
Tikal: ! R-Really...?
Chaos: Yes. You need to answer my questions and then I'll give my agreement to free you from this place.
Tikal: I...Accept the offer...
Chaos: Alright. Come in front of me.

Tikal listened and get in front of him. Chaos then closed his eyes and she waited for his questions.

Chaos: Princess Tikal, will you fight for the ones you love, even if you're a pacifist ?
Tikal:...! *she thinked carefuly before to answer*...I swear I'll fight for the ones I love.
Chaos: Will you find some friends to care about ?
Tikal: I swear I will find friends.
Chaos:*looks at her in the eyes* Princess Tikal, will you follow and listen your heart ?
Tikal:*put a hand on her heart* I will.
Chaos:*smile* Good.

He stepped away from her and rise a hand at her. Tikal suddently saw she was in a bubble of light.

Tikal: Chaos, wait ! Are you going to stay here alone ?!
Chaos:*sad smile* Yes.
Tikal: ! NO ! I refuse to leave if you're going to take my place !
Chaos: Princess Tikal, you're wrong. I'm not taking your place, I'm getting my second home back.
Tikal: What...?!
Chaos: You wished to save your tribe, and I accepted to make your wish come true, by letting you get in there. It's time for me to get my home back...and for you, to be with your pairs...With Knuckles.
Tikal: ! Chaos...
Chaos: I will visit you soon, don't worry.
Tikal: A-Alright...Thank you...Chaos...

The bubble light blinded them and it was darkness again.

*End of dream sequence*

Tikal waked up, running after her breath and sweating. She then noticed she was in a bed, with blankets.

Tikal: What...? *she looked at her hands, then around the place*

She was in a room, and she was alive...she was back. And she saw a someone sitting beside the bed, it's head and arms on the bed, asleep. In the little shine of the morning, she saw a red fur.

Tikal: !...K...Knuckles...*she smiled as tears started to fall*...*Thinks:...He's tender...below his fiery tempary...*

Knuckles awaked just at that moment and he saw she was awake. He then sitted fast and look at her surprisedly. Both said nothing for a moment.

Tikal:...*smile with tears in her eyes*...K...Knuckles...

She been interrupted by Knuckles, who suddently hugged her tight.

Tikal:*hugs him back softly* Knuckles...I'm alright...

She then feel that he was shaking.

Tikal: Knuckles...? Why are you shaking...?
Knuckles:*keep hugging her and seems crying in silence*...You don't know...how much I've been waiting to be able to see you again...*serves her a little harder*
Tikal:...You stayed besides the Master Emerald all this time...?
Knuckles: Yes...*keep the hug*...I knewed you weren't gone fully...
Tikal:...*pushes him away softly**wipes his tears away*...Why you did that...?
Knuckles:*tears as still falling*...You remember when we gived a bracelet to each other...?
Tikal:*show him her left wrist, where the bracelet he gived her is*...Yes, I remember...How could I forget it...?
Knuckles:*still same*...The day you disapeared, before our tribe get attacked, I was about to tell you something important...
Tikal:...! W-Wich is...?
Knuckles:*takes her lef hand and put it on his cheek and closes his eyes*...I was about to tell you...my feelings for you...
Tikal:*blushes* !
Knuckles:*look at her right in the eyes*...I love you, Tikal...I'm not lying, I'm being sincere...I was alaways alone before to meet you, when we were childs...You showed me the paths to follow...You catched my heart by your natural personalty, and your softness...
Tikal:*so red* K-Knuckles...
Knuckles:*still same*...I love you...with all my heart...Tikal...

Tikal didn't know what to say. Chaos showed her that he was wishing her to come back to him because he said he needed her. Then she saw that he taked care of her when she was unconcious...She looked at him in the eyes, then she smiled sweetly and with a sweet blush.

Tikal:...Thank you...
Knuckles: H-huh...? What...?

Tikal get her hand back and she hugged him softly, but tightly. First a little surprised, Knuckles hugged her back.

Tikal:*keep hug*...I love you too...With all my heart...Knuckles...
Knuckles:*same as her*...I...I'm glad to know...that you're sharing my feelings for you too...

Tikal stopped to hugs him and looked at him in right in the eyes and Knuckles looked at her eyes back. Tikal blushed then taked his cheeks in her hands softly and he blushed too.

Tikal:*blush and her face is near his face*...I love you, Knuckles...
Knuckles:*blush too*...I love you yoo, Tikal...

Tikal then kissed him softly and he kissed her back, as some wind blowed softly the curtains at the window, letting the sunshine to shine on them.
